Responsibilities

Collect, manage and clean datasets
Employ new and existing tools to interpret, analyze, and visualize multivariate relationships in data
Use system reports and analyses to identify potentially problematic data, make corrections, and determine root cause for data problems from input errors or inadequate field edits, and suggest possible solutions
Develop reports, charts, graphs and tables for use by investigators and for publication and presentation
Collaborate with faculty and research staff on data collection and analysis methods
Communicate with government officials, grant agencies and industry representatives
Design, develop, and maintain REDCap databases

Required

Bachelor's degree or a combination of education and relevant experience
Experience in a quantitative discipline such as economics, finance, statistics or engineering
Understanding of HIPAA, and GCP guidelines
Substantial experience with MS Office and analytical programs
Strong writing and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize workload; efficient utilization of time management
1-2 years experience in acquiring and/or processing data signals that requires a high level of technical skill and attention to detail
Proficiency with basic programming and scripts (for example, using R, python, MATLAB, SQL)
Strong general computer skills and ability to quickly learn and master computer programs
Experience in data science with applied statistics, visual and communicating data
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and various industry-oriented electronic data capture programs
Experience with database, data management, REDCAP, IRB requirements and the Stanford clinical research environment highly desirable
Ability to work both independently and as part of a diverse multidisciplinary team in a collaborative manner
Ability to determine workload priorities in an appropriate way to accomplish tasks and goals, meet deadlines
Takes initiative with good problem solving skills to anticipate and solve problems
Experience working with patients in a clinic or research setting
Strong analytical skill
Good oral and written communication skills to effectively work and publish data with clinicians and researchers
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in maintaining accurate, retrievable records

Preferred

Learning SQL or having experience with Google Cloud would be preferred
