Enterprise COBOL Application Developer
Largeton Group is seeking an Enterprise COBOL Application Developer to support enterprise business applications in a multi-tiered architecture environment. The role involves developing new business functions, troubleshooting, modifying, and enhancing existing functions while collaborating with various teams to design, code, test, and support mission-critical systems.

Analyze Phoenix II, Web Service, and batch business applications
Lead troubleshooting and propose solutions for assigned system problems
Code, test, and promote solutions ensuring requirements are met
Interact with impacted users and business specialists
Provide daily and weekly status updates to the development manager
Qualification
Required
Must be a South Carolina resident or willing to relocate/commute at own expense prior to starting
COBOL development with MicroFocus Visual COBOL using Visual Studio 2019/2022 in Windows Server 2022 under IIS
Accessing Oracle and MS SQL Server enterprise databases from within COBOL
Crafting SQL statements to support system functionality
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology or related discipline with 8+ years of experience OR minimum 10 years of related experience
Preferred
Experience with MicroFocus Visual COBOL V7, V9, or higher strongly preferred
Visual Studio 2019 and higher – Debugging
IIS configuration/setup
Microsoft Team Foundation Server
Microsoft C# .NET
Application programming against RDBMS (Oracle, SQL)
SQL for Oracle DB
Microsoft technical certifications considered in selection process
MicroFocus certifications are a significant advantage
