SUPERVISORY EDUCATIONAL TECHNICIAN (CHILD DEVELOPMENT)
The Department of the Air Force is seeking a Supervisory Educational Technician to oversee and coordinate a child development program. The role involves planning activities that meet the needs of children and ensuring compliance with early childhood standards.

Responsibilities
Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Child Development Center, ensuring that Early Childhood standards comply with legal and regulatory requirements and meet customer needs
Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities. Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors
Represents Child Development facilities with a variety of installation and functional area organizations

This position requires an uncommon tour of duty, which will includes nights, weekends, and holidays
Position requires certification in CPR, and training in first aid, medical, and security requirements and procedures
Employee is subject to a physical and immunizations deemed necessary by regulations and local public health office
This employee must successfully complete applicable background checks
A FBI fingerprint and State Criminal History Repository (SCHR) Check will be completed on any person selected for this position
One year of specialized experience for GS-06 grade/level or equivalent in the federal service
Have successfully completed graduate level education in a field directly related to this position
Have combination of specialized experience and education as described above
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible
Knowledge of early childhood education, as well as practical knowledge of elementary education/youth development, or related field
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, practices, and procedures
Ability to plan, organize, and direct the functions and mentor, motivate, and appraise the staff of an organization through subordinate supervisors
Ability to analyze, plan, and adjust work operations of one or more organizational segments to meet program requirements and objectives within available resources
Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
