Providing on-site troubleshooting, repair, warranty/campaign service, preventative maintenance, equipment modifications of Generac industrial products

Qualification

Required

Working knowledge of mechanical design, AC and DC circuitry, power generation, wiring schematics, connection diagrams, and control systems
Understand components and operation of an electrical distribution and transfer switch system
Excellent troubleshooting skills, the ability to make independent decisions, and work with minimal supervision, in occasionally adverse outdoor weather conditions
Experienced in Electronics, Electromechanical Technology
Knowledge of power generation; light tower, products
Spark Ignited and Compression ignition internal combustion engine knowledge
High School Diploma
3-4 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS), and Generac Industrial certification and related maintenance, startup and troubleshooting competencies, as well as competitive brand industrial repair proficiency
Load bank loading and towing and related certifications are required for larger commercial and industrial units

Preferred

Associates Degree in Marine, Ag, Construction, Automotive technical programs, or Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
6 years servicing and troubleshooting Emergency Power Supply Systems (EPSS)
