Responsibilities
Build relationships with investors at new and existing customer accounts to understand the full scope of their workflow challenges and desired business outcomes - not just surface-level pain points
Implement solutions by configuring Benchmark to address specific needs, whether that's streamlining deal sourcing, accelerating diligence, or improving portfolio monitoring
Run product demonstrations tailored to each firm's investment strategy, asking probing questions to uncover where Benchmark can create value and showcasing features that matter most to their specific use cases
Engage with customer success from day one: design and execute onboarding programs, conduct hands-on training sessions, and ensure customers are set up to win with Benchmark from the start
Partner with Product & Engineering to translate customer feedback into product improvements, advocate for new features that address unmet needs, and help shape our product roadmap through a private markets lens
Get your hands dirty with the operational work that makes great products hum: review customer data configurations, QA workflow outputs, and provide human-in-the-loop feedback that makes our AI smarter. This is startup building—you'll do what's needed to ensure customer success
Qualification
Required
2+ years of hands-on experience in investment banking, private equity or other investing experience
Strong relationship-building skills with the ability to earn trust quickly with investment professionals and become a trusted advisor, not just a vendor
Excellent communication skills - you can explain complex concepts clearly, lead productive workshops, and present confidently to senior stakeholders
Genuine curiosity about how AI can transform private market investing, with a willingness to learn the technology deeply
A bias toward action and problem-solving: you see a gap between where a customer is and where they want to be, and you figure out how to close it
Comfort with both strategic thinking (understanding business outcomes) and tactical execution (training users, reviewing data, configuring workflows)
Excited to work in-person in our NYC office 4+ days/week
