Providing academic and administrative leadership
Recruiting, mentoring, and evaluating faculty
Overseeing course scheduling and instructional quality
Managing departmental budgets and allocating faculty development resources
Leading curriculum development, program assessment, and accreditation efforts
Addressing student concerns and supporting student success
Coordinating with the Accounting Advisory Board and external stakeholders
Representing the department within the college and university
Other duties as assigned by the Dean
Qualification
Required
A terminal degree (Ph.D. or DBA) in Accounting from an AACSB-accredited institution
A sustained record of scholarly research and publication in quality peer-reviewed journals
Candidates must demonstrate excellence in teaching at the undergraduate and/or graduate level
Must hold the appropriate terminal degree or meet the established alternative qualifications
Exhibit strong potential for excellence in teaching
Preferred
Prior administrative or leadership experience in an academic setting
Experience with curriculum development, accreditation processes, and faculty mentoring
Professional certification(s) such as CPA, CMA, or equivalent
