TRAINING INSTRUCTOR (COMPTROLLER)
USAJOBS is seeking a Training Instructor (Comptroller) to prepare course materials and conduct training on various aspects of the comptroller career field. The role involves classroom instruction, developing lesson plans, and evaluating student performance.

Responsibilities
Conduct classroom instruction in laboratory, and field instruction in double-entry and accrual accounting, operation of automated data processing equipment, to include the General Accounting and Finance System
Research, develops, maintains and updates lesson plans, instructional material, visual aids, and course documentation for complete courses
Monitors and evaluates student progress and performance
Counsels students to help identify and resolve problems
Accomplishes special projects related to specialty area

This is a Financial Management Level 1 Certified position IAW the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Public law 112-81
Incumbent shall comply with requirements of this certification program
Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower grade GS-07, or equivalent in other pay systems
Examples of qualifying specialized experience include teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s), supervising or administering a training program, development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results
Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis
Successfully completed a master's or equivalent graduate degree OR 2 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree OR LL. B or J.D. with a major study in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled
A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%
Merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible
One year at the GS-07 level is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level
Knowledge of the principles, practices, and techniques of instruction
Knowledge of training aids and devices used in training programs
Knowledge and skills in comptroller career fields
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
Knowledge of instructional design and materials development for assigned courses
Knowledge of tests and measurement principles, techniques, and objectives
Skill in accomplishing special training studies and projects
Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work
You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week
