This producer will craft compelling, visually engaging newscasts that inform and connect with the audience on all platforms, while collaborating with various teams to ensure seamless and polished shows.

Responsibilities

Produce engaging, fast-paced newscasts
Write, edit, and organize scripts with accuracy and creativity
Coordinate with anchors, reporters, photographers, directors, and the digital team to ensure seamless and polished shows
Incorporate breaking news, live shots, and developing stories effectively into newscasts
Monitor wires, social media, scanner traffic, and other sources for story ideas and updates
Collaborate with Newsroom leadership on story selection, rundowns, and coverage priorities - ensuring strategic goals are being met
Ensure broadcasts meet editorial and legal standards
Contribute to digital platforms

Required

Bachelor's degree in journalism, communications, or a related field preferred
Strong writing, storytelling, and editorial judgment skills
Ability to multitask and make decisions quickly in a fast-paced environment
Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays

Preferred

Previous newscast producing experience preferred, but not required
Familiarity with ENPS or similar newsroom systems a plus
