Sr. Technical Program Manager, Energy Tooling & Efficiency
Tesla is a leading company in the energy and electric vehicle sector, seeking a Sr. Technical Program Manager to oversee the design and lifecycle management of custom tools for energy storage and EV charging solutions. Responsibilities
Own tool technical specifications, project scheduling, ROI analysis, and demand forecasting to optimize financial outcomes for tools and sustaining design
Own the whole efficiency life cycle: Conduct deep dives via site visits, interviews, and data analysis of existing service actions and collaborating to generate actionable insights and drive stakeholders to completion
Partner with cross-functional stakeholders (engineering, field service operations, finance, reliability) to align timelines and prioritize initiatives
Own electrical and mechanical NPI and Sustaining technical program management from end to end for projects owned by tooling team
Qualification
Required
5 + years of technical program management experience
A continual tinkerer, modifier, and optimizer of systems
Experience in managing and driving hardware design projects focusing on the critical path
Experience in data-driven forecasting for complex systems
Familiarity with Gantt charts, Agile, Jira Automation
Proven track record of turning vague requests to polished specifications with prioritization driven by business impact
Preferred
Knowledge of implementing and using AI tools for program management is a plus
Background in renewable energy systems, electric vehicle charging or power conversion
