Responsibilities
Design and develop secure, scalable, and efficient software systems tailored to Army mission requirements
Deploy distributed computing solutions that enhance DEVCOM’s capabilities in chemical and biological defense
Create innovative solutions utilizing programming languages such as Java, Python, C++, or Go
Analyze organizational problems and design solutions to resolve them
Integrate developed applications with cloud platforms to increase efficiency and utilization of resources
Identify, diagnose, and troubleshoot existing applications, computer systems, and networks
Collaborate with stakeholders and technical teams to create innovative solutions to enhance DEVCOM’s mission
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate software tools into research and operational environments
Ensure all systems meet stringent cybersecurity standards and performance benchmarks
Qualification
Required
Must be a U.S. Citizen
Must be able to obtain and maintain an active DoD Secret Clearance
BA/BS in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field
Five (5+) years of experience in software development
Strong knowledge of RMF, JSIG, and system lifecycle security integration
Proficiency in Python and tools for data wrangling, visualization, and statistical analysis
Preferred
DoD Secret Clearance
Ten (10+) years of experience in software development
Experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP infrastructure
Proficiency with Microsoft Office products
Experience creating and modifying documentation for technical processes and procedures
Experience working in a Department of Defense (DoD) environment
A problem solver and troubleshooter who thrives in resolving complex problems
Excellent communication skills (written and oral) and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
