Sales Compensation Technical Analyst

The Sales Compensation Technical Analyst will be responsible for building data models, developing metrics and dashboards, and automating reporting processes to support the Sales Compensation team.

Responsibilities
Building and maintaining robust data models for compensation and sales analysis using SQL, Snowflake, Tableau, and Google Sheets
Developing metrics, dashboards, and analytics to assess plan effectiveness, quota attainment, and SPIFF performance; providing recommendations into the semi-annual Sales Compensation planning cycle
Creating and automating recurring month-end and quarter-end reporting, including attainment, leaderboards, and sales/compensation KPIs
Owning and maintaining automated data flows into and out of Xactly (Incent/Connect), Salesforce, and Workato; troubleshooting and resolving data issues end-to-end
Partnering with IT and Sales Operations to define and improve the workflow of commissionable data from Salesforce to Xactly to ensure accurate and timely calculations and eliminate manual processes
Qualification
Required
5+ years of experience in analytics/dashboarding within Finance, Sales Ops, or a similar analytical role handling sales and compensation data
Familiarity with Xactly (Incent and/or Connect/data) and integrations with Salesforce
Advanced proficiency in SQL and data modeling; strong experience with Snowflake (or similar cloud DW), Tableau, and Google Sheets
Hands-on experience working with sales and sales compensation datasets (attainment, quotas, bookings/billings, credits)
Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and work independently with minimal direction
Preferred
Experience building or maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines (e.g., Xactly Connect jobs, cloud data pipelines)
Knowledge of SaaS sales motions, quota setting, territories/crediting, and comp plan mechanics
Basic scripting (e.g., Python) for data automation and QA
Experience with data governance and documentation standards
