Residential Life Director, PGSS Summer 2026 - Mellon College of Science
Carnegie Mellon University is a private, global research university known for its innovative approaches to education. The Residential Life Director for the Pennsylvania Governor's School for the Sciences will oversee TA/Counselors, ensure adherence to disciplinary rules, and foster a collaborative living and learning environment for high school students during a summer STEM program.

Responsibilities
Overseeing the TA/Counselors (12-15 people ages approximately 18-25 years old)
Living in the same dormitory as the PGSS students
Ensuring that students adhere to the PGSS disciplinary rules
Managing, arranging, and conducting social activities
Fostering a safe, collaborative living and learning environment for the PGSS students
Qualification
Required
Strong communication skills
Applicants for should have graduated from college or university by the start of the summer program
A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered
Successful background check
Child Protection Clearances (Act 153)
Preferred
Prior experience with PGSS or a similar summer program is preferred
