Strategic Partnerships Development Manager

adHERE is a performance marketing company specializing in lead generation for higher-education institutions, and they are seeking a Strategic Partnerships Development Manager to drive revenue growth and build strategic partnerships. This role involves identifying opportunities, negotiating client agreements, and representing adHERE at industry events while focusing primarily on higher education and secondarily on insurance.

Responsibilities

Identify, prospect, and secure new client opportunities in higher education (primary focus) and targeted opportunities in insurance (secondary growth mandate)
Build and manage a robust pipeline of prospects across agencies, universities, and strategic partners
Negotiate and close client agreements that drive revenue and Gross Profitability growth
Maintain a high daily outbound activity volume including prospecting, cold outreach, and pipeline creation. This is a sales hunter role designed for someone who loves generating new conversations
Cultivate executive-level relationships with decision-makers at universities, insurance companies, and lead buyers
Explore joint ventures, profit-sharing, and affiliate deals that expand adHERE’s market presence
Partner with the Executive Team to align BD strategy with long-term growth initiatives
Represent adHERE at industry conferences, trade shows, and client events as a visible, confident voice for the brand
Deliver presentations, panels, and thought leadership that position adHERE as a go-to partner in higher education lead generation, while elevating our presence in the insurance vertical
Partner with Client Success, Creative, and Media teams to ensure smooth onboarding and long-term client satisfaction
Provide market insights and feedback to inform product innovation, campaign strategy, and vertical expansion
Develop repeatable outreach and sales processes to scale the BD function

Required

3-5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or partnerships — ideally in performance marketing, higher education, insurance, or digital advertising
Proven ability to generate, negotiate, and close deals
Strong existing network within higher education (universities, agencies, and decision makers) and the ability to convert relationships into immediate impact
Confident public speaker and relationship builder; comfortable representing adHERE at conferences and on stage
Strategic thinker with an entrepreneurial mindset and a track record of driving revenue growth
Willingness to travel to meet with clients, attend events, and close deals
