Responsibilities
Direct a new interventional psychiatry program in the Ambulatory Care Division of the Department of Psychiatry and Human Behavior
Providing clinical administrative oversight of the program
Supervising additional faculty delivering Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) and other rapid acting therapeutic agents
Education residents and fellows
Oversee research activities involving TMS and other neurotherapeutic interventions
Qualification
Required
Candidates must possess an M.D. degree
Applicants must be eligible to be certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology
Applicants must have a demonstrated and established track record in TMS based therapeutics
Applicants must be eligible for a California Medical License and membership on the Medical Staff at the University of California, Irvine
Applicants must have a track record of conducting mechanistic research using TMS as a tool and/or clinical trials of neuromodulation in serious mental disorders including major depression, OCD and psychotic disorders
Applicants must be able to contribute to the diverse needs of our diverse patient population served by the Department of Psychiatry, including under-represented minorities in our community
