They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer with experience in Java, Python, AWS, and full-stack development to design and implement solutions while mentoring junior developers.

Responsibilities

Design, implement, configure, and optimize solutions for applications, databases, test automation tools, and COTS products
Collaborate with product owners and stakeholders to develop innovative, business-driven solutions
Review business and technical requirements, implementing scalable and secure technical solutions
Participate in code reviews, mentor peers, and contribute to architecture and technology roadmaps
Develop and maintain unit tests within CI/CD pipelines
Support QA, UAT, and production releases, performing troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Advocate for Agile best practices and continuous improvement
Provide leadership, coaching, and technical guidance to junior engineers

Required

6+ years of relevant software engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in a STEM field or equivalent experience
Expertise in Java, Python, AWS, SQL, and Git (merging, conflicts, cherry-picking)
Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab or similar)
Knowledge of AWS security best practices, Terraform, and CDK for infrastructure deployment
Strong understanding of API development and modern cloud architectures
Ability to work independently and lead by example with strong attention to detail

Preferred

Experience with JavaScript, Apache Spark, AWS Glue, and PySpark
Familiarity with Apache Airflow and orchestration tools
Experience implementing application observability and monitoring across tools and environments
Ability to quickly adapt to new languages, frameworks, and technologies
