Responsibilities

Design and analyze mechanical systems, equipment and packaging
Conduct feasibility studies and testing on new and modified Cisco designs
Directly support personnel in the preparation of detailed design, design testing and prototype fabrication
Provide design information to drafting for packaging documentation

Required

Completion within the past 3 years, or current enrollment with expected completion within 12 months, of a certification or degree program (e.g., Associates, Apprenticeship, Boot Camp, or Certification in a specialized program + 3 years of relevant experience, High School Diploma + 4 years of relevant experience, Bachelors + 2 years of relevant experience) or Masters + 0 years of relevant experience. Relevant fields include mechanical engineering or a related program, or holders of equivalent academic certifications
Demonstrated understanding of mechanical engineering principles
Proficiency in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, NX)
Familiarity with programming/scripting languages (e.g., Python, MATLAB, C++) for automation or data analysis is a plus

Preferred

Strong ability to learn and adapt to new technologies
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot design and manufacturing issues
Experience in establishing and sustaining excellent relationships with an extended team
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Experience with basic simulation/analysis tools (e.g., FEA, CFD, ANSYS)
