County of Ventura is seeking an APCD Administrative Services Director who will serve as a key member of the leadership team at the Ventura County Air Pollution Control District. This role involves leading strategic initiatives, enhancing employee experiences, and overseeing fiscal and administrative services to promote operational excellence.

Responsibilities

Lead strategic and organizational initiatives that improve efficiency, transparency and effectiveness

Conduct assessments, leverage data to guide decision-making, and design innovative development strategies

Coach and mentor leaders at all levels to cultivate strong leadership capability and a culture of excellence, service, and accountability

Oversee the departmental fiscal and administrative services and information technology units consisting of two (2) managers and ten (10) staff members

Provide supervision, set clear expectations, and promote continuous learning and improvement

Lead the development and delivery of presentations to diverse audiences and ensure mandatory training programs and performance evaluations are successfully executed

Required

Experience managing a work unit(s) and leading/directing staff, including titles, numbers and functions of staff
