Responsibilities

Serve as the key business partner working directly with AWS management and other internal stakeholders to provide financial recommendations
Report weekly and monthly financial and operating metrics
Manage the financial planning and month end close processes. Model, analyze and forecast metrics that drive budgeting, forecasting and business decisions
Analyze business results for key takeaways to achieve business objectives
Preparing detailed financial models for business segments, drive business initiatives, and identify, implement, and deliver key operational efficiencies
Identify and lead projects to drive automation and process improvement
Lead a team to effectively address priorities and provide career coaching
Monitor compliance with controls and systems, and developing new processes to support the fast-growing, global AWS business
Work independently and self-motivate in a fast paced and rapidly changing environment
Prioritizing workloads and partnering cross-functionally, while delivering against tight deadlines
Developing/optimizing finance processes for speed, agility, and insight
Dive deep on ambiguous challenges and deliver actionable insights
Learn and be curious, deep diving complex business processes in a rapidly evolving and fast paced business environment

Required

5+ years of tax, finance or a related analytical field experience
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science), or Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of quantitative role (engineering, process re-engineering, quality assurance) experience

Preferred

6+ years of identifying incomplete or inaccurate data, identifying the root cause and creating/implementing an escalation plan experience
6+ years of solving complex business challenges by delivering accurate and timely financial models, analysis, and recommendations that have a proven impact on business (e.g., financial savings, operational improvements, or customer benefits) experience
MBA, or CPA
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience delivering forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis, and data interpretation of results
Knowledge of SQL/ETL
6+ years of applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses experience
6+ years of building financial and operational reports/data sets that inform business decision-making experience
6+ years of creating process improvements with automation and analysis experience
6+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
