They are seeking an HVAC Test and Balance Technician to perform certified and non-certified TAB services on commercial HVAC systems, ensuring system performance aligns with engineered design plans while collaborating with clients and project teams.
Mechanical Design
Responsibilities
Perform certified and non-certified TAB services on commercial HVAC systems
Verify system performance against engineered design plans
Support a variety of commercial retail, design-build, and healthcare projects using company-provided tools while collaborating with clients and trade partners
Produce accurate, high-quality TAB readings and reports that align with design expectations
Ensure proper balancing and operation of HVAC systems through verification of performance
Communicate and coordinate effectively with project teams, GC partners, and field crews
Qualification
Required
Experienced TAB technicians encouraged to apply, including those not yet certified
Candidates must begin certification process within 90 days of hire (company supports training and preparation)
One-year employment commitment applies for company-funded certifications
Experience performing TAB work or using specialized tools such as digital multimeters, airflow meters, infrared cameras, leak detectors, and temperature-humidity meters
Ability to produce accurate, detailed TAB reports aligned with design intent
Highly accountable and trustworthy
Someone with a strong work ethic and consistent, high-quality execution
An excellent communicator and collaborative teammate
Results-driven and goal-oriented
A proactive problem-solver with strong technical instincts
Preferred
Certification preferred; equivalent TAB experience accepted with commitment to certify
