AccessDBExperts is seeking a Microsoft Access Database Developer who excels in Access development and client collaboration. The role involves gathering business requirements, developing databases, and ensuring project success through effective communication and adjustments based on client feedback.

Responsibilities

Collaborating with clients to gather business requirements, often by analyzing existing Excel spreadsheets and current processes

Drafting a concise one to two-page general specification document with estimated project timelines

Developing the database, delivering a beta version for client testing, and incorporating feedback from user acceptance testing (UAT)

Making necessary adjustments based on client requests to ensure project success

Full database creation: Creating MS Access databases from inception

Client communication: Engaging with clients via phone or email to comprehend their requirements

Requirements gathering: Collecting necessary information to formulate a project quote for new databases

Excel to Access conversion: Converting Excel programs into efficient Access databases

Comprehensive database design: Designing entire MS Access databases from scratch

Quality assurance: Conducting thorough quality control testing

Delivery, installation, and deployment: Ensuring seamless implementation and deployment of databases

Client change requests: Promptly responding to and implementing changes requested by clients

Database modification: Modifying existing MS Access databases in accordance with specifications and requirements

Required

5000+ hours Access database experience. Significant mystery of Forms and reports

Able to communicate easily and successfully, in English, both verbally and in writing

Excellent time management skills and ability to work independently (remotely) while managing your own time and providing time estimates and status updates

Comfort and ease when dealing with clients

Be able to adapt and quickly develop an understanding of new/different applications

Ability to commit to a minimum of 80 hours per month; ideally 160 hours

Availability for periodic client meetings via Zoom; otherwise, work hours can be flexible and outside of traditional business hours

Location is not a constraint as all work will be conducted remotely
