Alera Group is looking for a Consultant in Employee Benefits, seeking highly motivated colleagues to join their team. The role involves building relationships with clients, overseeing the client lifecycle, and mentoring Analysts while ensuring timely project delivery.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and vendors, serve as the primary day-to-day contact, escalate issues appropriately, and identify cross-sell opportunities that align to the client’s strategic plan

Oversee the client lifecycle and service model (with support from Senior Consultants/Analysts), manage renewals/negotiations, develop financial models and benchmarking analyses, and coordinate open enrollment and compliance deliverables

Mentor and review Analysts, perform quality reviews of team work, coordinate multi-team project delivery, and ensure timely completion of tasks using internal tools and templates

Required

Bachelor's degree and 3+ years' related experience with a consultant/broker, carrier, or HR team

Life/Accident & Health license required (or must be obtained within 90 days of hire)

Deep technical knowledge of Health & Welfare benefits and compliance

Advanced Excel/PowerPoint proficiency

Strong financial acumen for modeling and data-driven recommendations

Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills

Proven ability to manage concurrent projects and deadlines

Strong attention to detail

Willingness to travel as required
