Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain robust Java-based applications supporting market data ingestion, processing, and distribution
Work closely with quantitative analysts, traders, and data engineers to understand data requirements and translate them into scalable solutions
Implement low-latency, high-availability systems for real-time market data processing
Integrate with external market data providers, trading platforms, and other financial systems
Optimize existing code for performance, scalability, and reliability
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot, resolve issues, and improve system robustness
Follow best practices in software development, including version control, testing, and documentation
Stay updated with market data industry standards and fixed income product developments
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
Strong proficiency in Core Java (Java 8+), multithreading, and concurrency
Prior experience working within financial markets, especially in Market Data and Fixed Income domains
Hands-on experience with real-time data streaming, messaging systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ), and APIs
Knowledge of fixed income securities, bonds, interest rate products, and associated data
Familiarity with UNIX/Linux environments
Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills
Experience with SQL and relational databases
Preferred
Experience with distributed computing frameworks and microservices architecture
Knowledge of data normalization and market data cleansing techniques
Exposure to performance tuning and low-latency system design
Familiarity with financial protocols like FIX, FAST, or similar standards
Understanding of cloud technologies (AWS, Azure)
