Responsibilities

Serves as the organization's Magnet Program expert and coordinator for application, interim reporting, documentation, and appraisal process
Serves as the liaison to the ANCC Magnet Program Office. Collaborates with clinical nurses and nursing leaders to develop and implement evidence-based programs that promote nursing excellence and the Magnet Accreditation
Supports nursing leaders and clinical staff in the identification and collection of evidence and outcome measures that highlight nursing excellence and support the Magnet document
Prepares the Magnet document and associated evidence for submission; manages associated data and performs data analytics related to Nursing Satisfaction, Patient Satisfaction and Nurse Sensitive Indicators
Supports Professional Governance and other nursing workgroups or committees in activities that promote nursing excellence and Magnet designation
Directs and coaches nursing and interprofessional colleagues related to the Magnet designation process
Facilitates and coordinates work with consultants as needed
With the Director of Nursing Clinical & Professional Development, oversees the Magnet budget
Advises the nursing leadership team on progress toward readiness and issues needing recommendations
Has the responsibility to lead and support managers and directors in developing and improving operations to create optimal performance levels. Direct Reports: None; Indirect Reports: None

Required

Master's degree in Nursing or related field preferred; BSN is required
Licensed Registered Nurse required
5-8 years related work experience required and 1-3 years supervisory/management experience preferred
Advanced skills with Microsoft applications which may include Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Access and other web-based applications. May produce complex documents, perform analysis and maintain databases
