Responsibilities
Greeting, educating, and instructing patients through admission and check-in process
Verify patient information and check-in for scheduled appointments
Notify patients of insurance benefits and financial responsibilities
Answer telephone and direct calls appropriately
Schedule patient appointments
Manage clinical schedules and assist clinical staff as needed
Monitor account balances, payment plans, and collection reports
Crosstrain with county patient services staff and help cover county offices when requested
Perform cash handling responsibilities and daily reconciliation of cash drawer
Other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or GED required
Minimum of one (1) year experience in an office setting
Valid driver's license and active auto insurance coverage
Satisfactory results from criminal and driving record background checks
Demonstrates commitment to and practices in line with Bowen Health's core values of respect, integrity, mission and stewardship
Ability to work as a team member and ability to work independently
Strong customer service skills
Strong organizational skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word
Knowledge of basic insurance
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
Experience in Healthcare Customer Service preferred
