Engineering Technician, Vehicle Closure Components

Tesla is seeking highly motivated entry level Engineering Technicians to support accelerated product durability testing. This hands-on role involves assembling and disassembling vehicle components, building test fixtures, and executing tests while collaborating with engineers to resolve mechanical and electrical issues.

Responsibilities

Execute tests: setup, perform inspections, conduct maintenance, and retrofits
Document and report issues identified during tests or inspections
Collaborate with Engineers to resolve mechanical & electrical issues discovered
Support Engineers in instrumentation and data acquisition
Assist and learn from other Technicians and Engineers
Assemble & wire test fixtures

Qualification

Troubleshoot mechanical systemsMeasurement toolsElectrical lawsBasic MS Office experienceFabrication equipmentAnalytical problem-solvingCommunication skillsAttention to detail

Required

Excellent written & verbal communication skills
Attention to details with strong organization skills
Analytical problem-solving skills with a desire for professional development
Basic experience with MS office tools (Outlook/Excel/Word)
Experience with measurement tools (multi-meters, force gauges, torque wrenches, calipers, DAQ's)
Experience with fabrication equipment (drills, Band Saw)
Ability to troubleshoot mechanical systems
Understanding of Ohms law, Kirchhoff's laws
Ability to read wiring diagrams, and CAN communication
Experience working with low voltage components
