They are currently seeking a part-time Patient Service Representative to perform check-in and check-out functions, accept charges, answer billing questions, and collect co-pays while providing quality customer service.

Responsibilities
Performing check-in and check-out functions at the front desk
Accepting charges and answering patient billing questions
Collecting co-pays and balances due
Qualification
Preferred
Formal training which will probably be indicated by a high school diploma or equivalent
1 or more years of experience working with the public, preferably in a healthcare setting
Knowledge of medical terminology
Knowledge of the different types of health insurance plans; i.e. HMO's, PPO's, etc
Ability to recognize priority or emergency phone calls
Ability to communicate effectively with patients, both on the telephone and in person, including patients who are angry or upset
Ability to perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
Ability to sit at a desk and answer the telephone/perform data entry up to 8 hours a day
Proficient with Windows-based PC environment
