Responsibilities
Full cycle Material Resource Planning
MRP execution: Populate/run/maintain MRP, validate output, convert planned orders into purchase/work orders
Inventory control: Prevent shortages and excess. Manage reordering and vendor relations
Supplier coordination: Place POs, track confirmations, expedite/de-expedite, manage lead times and delivery schedules
Production support: Ensure materials arrive in time for builds. Resolve shortages, discrepancies, and quality holds
Demand forecasting: Translate sales forecasts, production schedules, and historical usage into material requirements
Data accuracy: Maintain item masters, BOM accuracy, lead times, MOQ, and cost data
KPI ownership: Monitor OTIF, inventory turns, aging stock, shortages, and planner buys
Continuous improvement: Optimize planning parameters, reduce lead times, improve reliability of supply chain
Qualification
Required
Experience in defense technology, aerospace, or a similarly complex operational environment
Strong understanding of material planning, supply chain coordination, and manufacturing management at a fast-paced hardware company
Proven ability to execute complex, cross-functional projects under tight deadlines
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including experience preparing executive-level documents and briefings
High discretion and sound judgment with sensitive information
Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action—comfortable operating in ambiguity and building structure where none exists
Preferred
Former founder or early employee at a venture-backed tech company
Experience in material planning, supply chain coordination, or operations
Background in manufacturing management
