Responsibilities

Responsible for maintaining and repairing a wide variety of Manual and CNC machines tools and associated equipment
Be able to maintain, repair, adjust and modify complicated machine tool equipment
Must have analytical ability to troubleshoot any of this equipment and pin point malfunctions
Able to read, interpret and follow intricate and complex blueprints and instruction manuals as they apply to the hydraulic and mechanical apparatus of the assemblies and sub-assemblies of machine tools and process equipment. Perform preventive maintenance on machine tools and associated equipment, incorporate modifications and revisions when required
Experience in troubleshooting, repairing a variety of mechanical assemblies such as precision ball screws, spindles, head stocks, lube pumps, transmission, hydraulic systems, counter balance cylinders, etc
Perform all functions of repair and maintenance and may occasionally be required to make replacement parts
Perform duties and tasks at all times conforming to all safety regulations and procedures
Keep facilities, materials and work area clean and orderly using good housekeeping procedures
Keep abreast on latest machine tool developments through training by shop supervisor or other related training/vendor training
Strong oral and written communication skills
