The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is a large agency responsible for the health and well-being of North Carolinians. They are seeking a Qualified Intellectual Disabilities Professional (QIDP) to oversee the development and implementation of Person Centered Plans for residents with intellectual disabilities, ensuring effective management and supervision within the facility.

Health Care

Responsibilities

Facilitating the development of the Person Centered Plans (PCP) for each of the residents on his/her caseload
Supervising the implementation of this treatment plan across three shifts of staff and a variety of daily environments
Facilitating the development of and follow-up to the transition plan for residents transitioning to community-based living arrangements
Ensuring all necessary supports and training are provided prior to discharge
Supervising the Home Manager assigned to the home and for overall management of the home and all trainer staff working in the home
Supervising an Office Assistant as assigned to their home

Qualification

Required

Bachelor's degree in a human services or related field from an appropriately accredited institution
Two years of experience providing professional or direct services (either paid or volunteer) in a setting that serves individuals with disabilities

Preferred

Documented supervisory experience
Thorough knowledge of the concepts, practices and techniques of the field of intellectual and other developmental disabilities
Documented skills in individualized educational planning, and/or individual service planning and outcome documentation
Experience managing and supervising the operation of a residential unit and developing cooperative working relationships with the residents, families, staff and communities
Experience coordinating professionals, para-professional and direct support staff in the development, implementation, and evaluation of person-centered services
