They are seeking a part-time Psychologist Senior to conduct diagnostic assessments, develop training programs, and supervise staff while working with individuals on the autism spectrum and those with co-occurring mental health issues.

Responsibilities

Completing basic and specialized diagnostic assessments of cognitive and adaptive skills

Functional assessments of severe behavior disorders

Developing comprehensive training and treatment programs providing staff training

Providing supervision of behavior specialists and masters level psychologists

Assisting and consulting with other staff in conducting systematic analyses of intervention efforts

Participating in interdisciplinary process

Working with children and adults on the autism spectrum as well as people with co-occurring mental health and developmental disability diagnoses

Assist in specialized needs assessment clinics

Required

Eligibility for licensure in North Carolina under the provisions of the NC Psychology Practice Act (G.S. 90-270)

Two years of professional psychological experience, one of which must be postdoctoral

Preferred

Advanced, demonstrated knowledge and application of psychological principles, theories, methods and procedures especially in the area of intellectual disabilities/developmental disabilities

Advanced experience in functional analysis and intervention with people who have severe behavior disorders

Experience in teaching and maintaining adaptive skills

Advanced experience and knowledge in application and interpretation of psychological testing, including experience in the assessment of intellectual disabilities/developmental disabilities

Demonstrated effective staff training and management strategies and ability to relate appropriately to clients and staff members
