Postdoctoral Associate | Sickle Cell Disease | Agoro Lab
The Jackson Laboratory is an independent biomedical research institution known for its research excellence. They are seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral fellow in the Agoro lab to identify mechanisms triggering sickle cell disease crisis using a multidisciplinary approach that integrates genetics, genomics, proteomics, and metabolomics.

Responsibilities
Identify mechanisms that trigger sickle cell disease crisis
Determine the mechanisms of disease severity heterogeneity using systems biology
Pioneer the development of new mouse models that recapitulate disease phenotypic heterogeneity as seen in patients
Work with data generated from sickle cell disease patients
Apply a broad range of cutting-edge technologies, including CRISPR-based tools and single-cell multi-omics
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in cell biology, molecular biology, genetics, or related field of study
Strong training background in molecular biology, cell biology, next-generation sequencing technology
Candidates should have at least one 1st author publication record in peer-reviewed journal
Excellent writing and communication skills, able to work independently and effectively with other members in a productive team
Preferred
Experience in computational biology, genetic screens and single-cell technologies are particularly preferred
