Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Director of Marketing & Communications, assists in the planning, development, and execution of the organization’s marketing and communication strategies; aim to publicly and internally promote the healthcare’ setting’s objectives, policies, and achievements, with the goal of building and enhancing its branding/identity
Studies and analyzes market trends, audience insights, and competitive landscape to develop and execute comprehensive marketing and communication strategies that are aligned with the System’s objectives
Collects and analyzes data to assess the beliefs, interests, needs, knowledge, and practices of specific population groups in relation to the activities of the health care settings. Evaluates patient and community perceptions of attitudes towards the health settings’ services, with a focus on identifying barriers to communication, information access, and the effective use of these services
Engages in programs and activities to develop an awareness in the various service communities and patient populations within the System with respect to available preventative health care, technical assistance, program approaches, and health care setting services of the institution to craft engaging content on various health topics, including health tips, Q&A with doctors and other similar copy for the System’s public website and promotion on various social media channels
Develop and implement strategies to keep staff informed and engaged with the System’s initiatives and objectives; creates and curates relevant and engaging content for system-wide internal communication channels to enhance employee engagement
Acts as liaison and advisor for individual healthcare settings’ communications and public relations efforts
Ensures public information and communications efforts of health care settings are consistent with the System’s policies and objectives
Assists in overseeing the distribution of newsletters, bulletins, annual reports and other publications produced from the System or local health care settings
Establishes and maintains proper relations with communication channels and news media
Assists in establishing programs for effective communication of policies, programs and developments relating to all matters concerning employee relations, public information, marketing, health education and communication relations
Collaborates with leaderships to proactively identify areas of improvement and identifies communications strategies to help reach specialized populations, such as immigrant communities, physicians and others, as required by specific initiatives, campaigns and efforts
Assists in overseeing promotion and publicity programs within the division and coordinates with external agencies contracted to assists in managing these initiatives
Assists in the development of contents for print, web and digital materials such as billboards, brochures, direct mail, web copy, talking points, key messages, newsletters, flyers, posters, screensavers, reports, marketing collateral and other print, web and digital materials
Assists in the supervision of production schedules for publications
Performs other related duties, as directed

Required

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Business Management, Public Administration, Communications, Marketing, Journalism or a related discipline
Three (3) years of satisfactory experience executing communications strategies and designing and implemented integrated communications plans, two (2) years of which must have been in a responsible administrative, managerial or supervisory capacity
Satisfactory equivalent combination of training, education and/or experience. However, all candidates must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in disciplines, as listed in '1' above
