Responsibilities
Create CAD Designs: Produce accurate and detailed computer-aided design (CAD) drawings for warehouse layouts and equipment installations
Design for Efficiency: Develop alternative layouts to optimize space utilization, improve product flow, increase efficiency, and reduce costs
Collaborate on Solutions: Work closely with sales teams and customers to design projects involving warehouse products and ensure alignment with operational needs
Site Engagement: Visit customer locations before, during, and after installation to verify measurements, address design changes, and ensure proper implementation
Coordinate Installations: Partner with the Warehouse Solutions Coordinator to manage material delivery schedules and assist with equipment coordination as needed
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process enhancements and contribute to innovative storage and movement strategies
Qualification
Required
Associate Degree in Computer-Aided Design or 5+ years of experience in technical drawing within a business environment
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to travel occasionally for site visits
Preferred
Proficiency in CAD software and strong technical drawing skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
Experience in warehouse design, material handling, or process optimization is a plus
