Automation Engineer

Responsibilities
Leverage automation and controls experience to optimize the machines on a highly automated line
Maintain and update mechanical/assembly drawings for in-line fixturing
Demonstrate an awareness of state-of-the-art and lean manufacturing concepts and practices
Demonstrate an ability to coordinate activities through all levels of the organization to achieve objectives
Utilize data analysis, computational skills, and appropriate software to maximize productivity
Possess a high level of production process knowledge
Troubleshoot and resolve manufacturing problems including (but not limited to): issue with mechanical assembly machinery and fixtures, electrical issues, and controls/software related issues
Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical issues in assembly machinery and fixtures
Obtain, organize, and analyze data and to prepare charts and reports
Lead the development and implementation of cost reduction programs and achieve department and plant targets
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in relevant field

Preferred
3+ years of manufacturing / industrial engineering experience
3+ years of Automation or Controls Engineering experience
AB PLCs, AB Motion Control, AB Independent Cart, FANUC (LR, SR)
Rockwell Software Experience
Studio 5000, View Designer, FT View
Mechanical Engineering or Machine Design experience
Proficient in Data Analysis: Microsoft Excel, Power BI
Customer service or technical support involvement
SAP business system knowledge
LEAN Six-Sigma Green Belt or higher certification
Previous experience in a highly automated environment
