Advanced Technology PM Support Engineer
Bastian Solutions is an independent material handling and robotics system integrator providing automated solutions for distribution, manufacturing, and order fulfillment centers. The Advanced Technology PM Support Engineer is responsible for providing exceptional technical support to customers, managing complex support cases, and ensuring project closeout procedures are followed while maintaining customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities
Provide technical support for a range of technologies including AutoStore, Swisslog, Scallog, Ultra, Exotec, Controls, and any future technologies that come into support
PM AutoStore Grid remediation and provide detailed reports
Deploying firmware updates for AutoStore, Exotec, etc
Highly skilled in providing root-cause analysis (RCAs) and Five Whys reports, working closely with the Quality team
Deliver feedback to the project design/standards team from the findings in the RCA reports
Provide a weekly written update on projects, including financial and milestone status. Publish weekly internal and external project status reports throughout the project life cycle
Coordinate using Gnatt charts with all subcontractors and internal Bastian teams to align on-site resources
Work with Solutions Delivery and Unified Support Manager to develop and operate the 24/7 Support Program
Assist in ensuring all final As-Built documentation is delivered to the customer, including all drawings, training materials, and maintenance manuals
Develop an in-depth understanding of all facets of material handling, including equipment, suppliers, and applications
Timely completion of all reports and logs to include time reports and travel expenses
Maintain a consistent positive and enthusiastic attitude
Timely communication of all concerns and issues with the Solutions Delivery/Unified Support Manager
Pursue professional training and certifications
Demonstrates commitment and passion for Bastian Solutions and our future
Maintains satisfied customers by resolving issues quickly
Customer service, satisfaction, and goodwill during implementation and during support (as measured by our customers: Develop a rapport with customers)
Become an expert on equipment, suppliers, and applications
Assists Design Engineers on quoting and system proposals
Willingness to step up and assist other positions within the Systems Group
Demonstrated Leadership and Management
Improve project execution processes
Consistently communicates with the Solutions Delivery/Unified Support Manager both good news and bad news. Completes task list items on time
Develop repeat customers
Any and all job duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology
2+ years of project management experience
AutoStore experience
Automation/Robotics/ASRS experience
Demonstrated skills in customer relations
Excellent project management skills. PMP certification preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
Enjoys helping customers, both internal and external to the company
Hands-on technical problem-solving capabilities: mechanical, electrical, network, software, and controls
Experience in the material handling industry
Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship
