Responsibilities
Maintain and repair HVAC ducting, plumbing systems, electrical components, floors, walls, doors, and other facility infrastructure to ensure safe and efficient operations
Conduct scheduled inspections of facilities and equipment to identify potential problems, safety hazards, and maintenance needs before they escalate
Execute comprehensive preventative maintenance programs for building systems and equipment to maximize operational efficiency and lifespan
Diagnose and resolve technical issues within building systems to maintain smooth facility operations and minimize downtime
Ensure all work adheres to safety regulations, building codes, and company policies while maintaining facility compliance standards
Assist with groundskeeping, carpentry projects, space moves, cleaning tasks, landscaping, snow removal, and waste management as needed
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs while preparing reports for facility management review
Liaise with external contractors and vendors for specialized repairs, projects, and service requirements
Address urgent facility issues promptly to maintain building functionality and occupant safety
Qualification
Required
Demonstrated experience in facilities maintenance, building systems repair, or related technical field
High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in facilities management, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or building maintenance preferred
Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical building systems
Mechanical aptitude with proficiency using hand and power tools
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, drawings, and instructions
Understanding of preventative maintenance principles and practices
Comprehensive understanding of workplace safety protocols and facility safety requirements
Must possess and maintain a current valid driver's license
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
Effective organizational and time management skills
Self-motivated with ability to work independently
Professional communication skills for vendor and occupant interactions
Basic computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and email
Ability to lift heavy objects and materials as needed
Capability to work outdoors, on roofs, and in various environmental conditions
Proficient use of maintenance tools and equipment
Availability: Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM schedule with flexibility for after-hours facility needs and occasional weekend work
Preferred
Technical training in facilities management, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or building maintenance
