Responsibilities
Design 3D and 2D of mechanical components using SolidWorks CAD
Design 3D and 2D electromechanical assemblies using SolidWorks CAD
Design of electronic enclosures and electronics packaging
Design for Manufacturing and Assembly
Generate BOM’s
Selection of materials and processes in accordance with technical specifications requirements
Stress analysis using FEA techniques (Ansys, SolidWorks Simulation)
Configuration management in SW PDM environment
Works with cross functional engineering teams to ensure mechanical requirements are fully understood and implemented
Qualification
Required
BS in Mechanical Engineering
Minimum 7+ years of design experience
Exposure to manufacturing processes
Experience with 3D printing technology
Proficiency in SolidWorks CAD, Finite Element Analysis and Microsoft Office
Configuration management of engineering documentation
Knowledge of GD&T
Strong communication abilities and interpersonal skills
Team player
Must be a US Citizen and have the ability to obtain and maintain a US Government Security Clearance
Preferred
Aerospace – Defense background strongly preferred
PDM design environment strongly preferred
