Quality Inspector (NASA LTVS Contingent)

They are seeking a meticulous Quality Inspector to ensure the highest standards of quality for their products through detailed inspections at various stages of production.

Responsibilities

Receiving Inspections including incoming packages for gross damage; verification of part number, revision, quantity, and proper Quality Clause documentation per the supplier Quality Manual; dimensional verification to the print and other specification callouts like part marking, etc
In-Process & Final Inspections including closeout reviews for proper installation, wiring, and functionality; ensure no foreign object debris is present; validate revision, part numbers, flight pedigree, and lot serial numbers; visual inspections for damage; validate conformance to drawing specifications; review test packages; and confirm all contract deliverables are met
Lead calibration for the organization
Build procedure review and approval
Material review board process includes issue ticket review and physical part movement
Conduct additional hand tool measurements and visual inspections as needed, utilizing calipers, micrometers, height gages, bore gauges, etc

Required

Proven experience in quality inspection, preferably in an Aerospace manufacturing or technical environment
Blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and bore gauges)
Familiarity with industry standards and technical documentation
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team
Basic computer skills for data entry and documentation
Ability to lift 50 lbs. and handle materials as required during inspections
