Responsibilities
Familiarize yourself with essential design software and product lifecycle management (PLM) systems
Understand departmental conventions, workflows, and your key responsibilities
Deliver CAD models and drawings of mechanical components and assemblies
Deliver Bill of Materials (BOM) including all mechanical components
Create manufacturing drawings and specifications for mechanical parts
Conduct thorough analysis and testing to validate design choices and make necessary improvements
Deliver physical prototypes for testing and validation
Deliver test reports and data analysis documenting the performance, reliability, and safety of mechanical designs
Create structural analysis reports to ensure mechanical integrity and durability
Write detailed assembly instructions for integrating mechanical and electrical components
Qualification
Required
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering
10+ years of experience in Mechanical Design
Experience Designing robust enclosures for industrial IoT and electromechanical devices
Advanced proficiency in SolidWorks or similar 3D CAD software
Strong experience with injection molding and sheet metal fabrication
Mechanical Engineering Fundamentals: Solid grasp of core principles (e.g., statics, dynamics, material science)
Ability to design products that meet precise technical requirements and performance criteria
Preferred
Advanced Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
Experience working with small, power constrained, ruggedized devices
