SUPERVISORY ENGINEER/SCIENTIST
NAVAL SURFACE WARFARE CTR CORONA DIV is seeking a Supervisory Engineer/Scientist to oversee the Acquisition Assurance Division. The role involves managing day-to-day operations, applying human capital management policies, and ensuring quality product delivery within budget.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the execution of the branch's day to day operations and ensures the delivery of quality products on time and within budget
You will apply Human Capital Management policies and regulations in leading and managing personnel assigned to the branch
You will administer the branch budget, manage customer relationships and programs, execute the Command strategic direction, create and promote a shared vision of the organization, and foster cooperation, communication, and consensus among groups
You will establish objectives, set priorities, use internal controls, goal setting techniques, delegation, and team building to effectively manage the branch
You will evaluate performance and provides appropriate feedback including recognizing superior performance
You will apply System Engineering principles and risk management techniques as they apply to the development, production, and support of DoD, DON, and MARCORP missile, weapons, ships, air, defense, and munition programs
Qualification
Required
Must be a US Citizen
Must be determined suitable for federal employment
Must participate in the direct deposit pay program

Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326

You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty
Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required
This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites
Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics
This is a Cyberspace Workforce position; the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications found within in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies
This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the ND-03 pay band (GS-09/11) in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector
Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: as a professional Engineer or Scientist applying engineering/scientific processes and project management theories and practices to develop, analyze, plan, and scope weapons system requirements, develop project plans, and build detailed, comprehensive cost estimates impacting fleet warfare commands and functions
Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual
