Responsibilities

Conducts experimental studies on various aspects of existing and emerging submarine communication links, focusing on data transmission, sensing technologies, and related signal processing
Develops innovative concepts and provides recommendations for improvements in communication systems
Aggregates and summarizes experimental results for internal presentations, contributing to strategic decisions and directions for new product development and manufacturing innovation
Participates in cross-functional teams focused on product development and enhancement, offering technical input to guide future technological advancements
Contributes to the foundational research and development of innovative solutions for the submarine communications business
Maintains a high standard of integrity and ensures all activities align with SubCom’s policies, procedures, and core values

Required

Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
Hands-on experience with optical test and measurement equipment, and a strong background in conducting experiments
Proficiency in programming languages and automation tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
General understanding of telecommunications technologies
Ability to collaborate effectively across teams within the SubCom organization
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to clearly and persuasively articulate ideas
Creative approach to problem-solving and a proactive mindset in addressing technical challenges
