The University of Missouri School of Medicine Department of Surgery is seeking motivated and detail-oriented Research Technicians to join the laboratory of Dr. Shiyou Chen. The Research Technician will support daily laboratory operations and assist with various ongoing research projects focused on advancing scientific discovery.

Responsibilities

Conducting experiments and collecting data

Assisting with the preparation of research reports

Managing mouse colonies and perform genotyping

Performing molecular biology techniques such as Western blotting, PCR, and immunostaining

Processing mouse tissues and conducting histological analyses

Preparing reagents and maintaining cell cultures

Capturing, analyzing, and/or managing data sets

Ensuring proper disposal of laboratory waste and maintaining a clean, safe lab environment

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience
