Altabank, Division of Glacier Bank, is hiring a Mortgage Loan Originator. The role involves demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and providing exceptional service throughout the sales process, while collaborating with stakeholders to complete mortgage transactions.

Responsibilities
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, as well as provide exceptional service throughout the sales process
Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to complete mortgage transactions
Ability to develop and maintain a personal business plan which includes all aspects of loan originations from customer service, maintaining and building relationships, networking, marketing/prospecting, knowledge of products and the industry, etc
Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training
This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the terms of the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z
Must comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to, the Bank Secrecy Act, the Patriot Act, and the Office of Foreign Assets Control
Complete required bank training courses within assigned time frame(s). It is the individual learner responsibility to ensure that they understand the information given to them in each training. If the learner does not understand the information given they need to reach out to their supervisor for further clarification or additional training

Qualification
Required
Two to five years of similar or related experience
A two-year college degree or completion of a specialized course of study at a business or trade school or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required 2-5 years of mortgage origination experience in conventional, FHA, VA, USDA, and Jumbo loans
Must have and maintain an NMLS ID number (S.A.F.E. Act Registration)
Excellent customer service skills
Strong knowledge of conventional and government guidelines
Strong problem solving, communication, and analytical skills
Must be proficient in Microsoft office applications and have strong computer skills
Employee must be capable of interacting calmly and professionally with a variety of people from diverse backgrounds at various levels within and outside of the organization
Employee must be capable of regular, reliable, and timely attendance
Ability to adapt to change (e.g. shifting priorities, demands, and timelines) through time management, analytical, and problem-solving skills
