Responsibilities
Collaborate in planning, scheduling, and organization of detailed phases of engineering work
Collaborate in the technical oversight and direction of internal or external design teams
Facilitate and assist in the assessment of customer needs and captures requirements and functions of the electrical system for nuclear generating stations
Execute simulator assignments with clear and specified objectives; utilizes conventional specification and/or Interface Control Documents and plans
Recommend system design alterations and enhancements to improve quality of products and/or procedures from an assembly, transportation, construction, commissioning, operations, maintenance, and/or decommissioning perspective
Leads reviews and presentations for internal company design reviews and customer design reviews regarding simulator design
Organize engineering efforts in assigned areas between specialty and other engineering groups or disciplines, with the client, suppliers, contractors, or other groups as required
Develop/maintain plant simulation models
Develop the operator training simulator requirements
Conduct the operator training simulator verification and validation activities
Write simulator technical reports and testing reports
Review subcontractor technical reports and other deliverables
Maintain simulator hardware and software
Maintain simulator configuration control tools on GitLab
Maintain professional demeanor and behavior at all times in all forms of communication
Perform other duties as assigned by manager
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in mechanical/nuclear/electrical engineering or related degree from an accredited institution
20+ years' experience in operator training simulator development
Proficient experience in thermal-hydraulic simulation
Excellent simulator software and hardware debugging capability
Excellent knowledge in nuclear power plant operations
Familiar with distributed control system
