The Engineering Lead will build and scale the FinTech core, leading a team of backend engineers to develop and operate mission-critical systems, while collaborating closely with business operations and product engineering teams.

Responsibilities

Lead a small team of backend engineers
Serve our AI/ML team with infrastructure for training and online inference
Design, develop and operate a core data systems for ingestion, warehousing and analysis
Operate and scale our internal treasury management APIs
Debug, quantify and minimize exceptions
Set up sustainable best practices for DevOps and FinOps, including monitoring and analytics
Champion new practices to improve customer experience and enable exponential growth
Lead and own projects end to end

Required

3-5 years experience building and deploying software at scale
3-5 years of experience in FinTech, payments or related financial systems
Experience as an accountable tech lead or engineering manager
Experience with our tech stack (or willingness to learn quickly/independently)
Data-driven approach, fluency in SQL and Datadog and as well as Go
Deep experience with modern cloud-native data architecture
Motivated, entrepreneurially minded individuals who thrive in an environment with minimal structure, high ownership and technically challenging problems
Ability to understand complex business requirements and translate them into pragmatic technical plans
An efficient approach to software development that drives accuracy and user experience
