Infrastructure Financial Strategy Consultant
HCA Healthcare is committed to investing in its team members and is seeking an Infrastructure Financial Strategy Consultant to serve as a strategic advisor and financial modeler for their Infrastructure portfolio. The role involves designing and managing financial models to guide technology investment decisions while collaborating closely with IT and Finance leadership.

Responsibilities
Develop and maintain a multi-year financial and technical scenario-based model for on-premises infrastructure, including total cost of ownership, capital and operational expenditures, depreciation, and refresh cycles
Model and recommend strategic scenarios and their financial implications, such as cloud migration timing, contract renewals, or infrastructure transitions
Provide recommendations and sensitivity analyses to inform leadership decisions on infrastructure modernization
Evaluate infrastructure cost structures, enabling transparency across consumption, performance, and value
Collaborate with IT Finance and TBM teams to integrate model outputs into Cost Transparency reporting
Champion modernization of financial planning tools and data models to ensure agility and accuracy in scenario forecasting
Support the development of a financial governance framework for evaluating and prioritizing future infrastructure investments
Serve as a strategic advisor to IT Leadership, using clear and concise storytelling to navigate complex discussions
Translate financial data and technical recommendations into actionable insights for non-financial or non-technical audiences
Influence infrastructure investment strategy and policy by presenting data-backed recommendations
Partner closely with the CTO and VP of Infrastructure to model strategic investment trade-offs and quantify the financial implications of architectural decisions
Partner with Finance and Strategic Sourcing to time infrastructure contract negotiations and optimize financial outcomes
Collaborate with IT Infrastructure, Service Management, Architecture, CloudOps, and Finance teams to ensure alignment between financial and operational priorities
Drive cross-functional working sessions to validate assumptions and build consensus around model outputs
Act as a connector between finance and technology disciplines, ensuring a shared understanding of cost, value, and risk across the enterprise
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or related field required
10+ years of progressive experience in IT Financial Management, infrastructure finance, or technology consulting within large, complex organizations required
Advanced proficiency in financial modeling, Excel, Power BI, and financial analysis software
Strong technical literacy across data center operations, hybrid cloud environments, networking, and storage technologies
Exceptional ability to synthesize complex financial and technical information into clear executive recommendations
Proven ability to influence and advise senior executives with data-driven authority
Strong storytelling, visualization, and presentation skills for C-level audiences
Demonstrated experience in cost optimization, capital lifecycle modeling, and cloud economics
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed environment and maintain composure in high-stakes decision forums
Ability and willingness to respond to a changing/dynamic work environment
Fundamental knowledge of Contractual terminology
Fundamental knowledge of Procurement and Billing processes
Fundamental understanding of IT Infrastructure and the Healthcare Industry

Preferred
Master's degree Finance, Accounting, Economics, Information Systems, or related field preferred
Prior experience at a top-tier consulting firm (e.g., Deloitte, McKinsey, Accenture, PWC) highly preferred
Prior experience at or as an advisor to Fortune 50 organization preferred
Background in Technology Business Management (TBM), IT Cost Modeling, or Capital Planning for Infrastructure Portfolios preferred
Certified TBM Executive (CTBME) preferred
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) preferred
Six Sigma Certification (Black Belt or higher) preferred
