The role involves conducting transportation planning and traffic engineering studies under the guidance of a senior Florida PE, with the goal of achieving the designation of a Florida Professional Engineer (PE).

Responsibilities
Conduct transportation analysis, plans preparation and report writing
Participate in meetings, including preparing presentations and public outreach materials
Conduct site visits and collect field data
Qualification
Required
Completed bachelor's and/or master's degree in civil engineering
Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate or the ability to obtain
0-2 years of experience in conducting traffic operational and safety analyses, plans preparation and report writing
Detail oriented, proactive individual who takes ownership of their work
Basic understanding of traffic flow theory and transportation systems analysis
Experience in or exposure related to the following topic areas are a plus: field work, traffic operations analysis, signal design, transportation planning, travel demand modeling, traffic and safety studies
Experience with the following software tools are a plus: HCS, Synchro, Vissim, Corsim, other micro/macro simulation tools, AutoCAD, Microstation, OpenRoads
Preferred
Ability to work well in a team environment
Interpersonal skills, a desire to learn and collaborate, highly organized, ability to balance multiple tasks
