Assistant Professor-Robotics, AI, Machine Learning
The University of Nebraska-Lincoln is a land-grant research university seeking applications for a tenure-track faculty position at the assistant professor rank in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Establish a high-impact, externally funded research program
Publish in premier venues
Integrate research with graduate and undergraduate teaching
Mentor students at all levels
Participate in departmental, college, and university governance
Contribute to curriculum development
Engage in interdisciplinary collaborations across campus and with industry, government, and national laboratory partners
Qualification
Required
A Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field by the start date of the appointment
Demonstrated research expertise in robotics, autonomous systems, artificial intelligence, machine learning, or closely related areas
Evidence of high scholarly productivity (e.g., peer-reviewed publications)
Potential to establish and sustain an externally funded research program
A demonstrated commitment to excellence in undergraduate and graduate education
Preferred
Experience in the development and offering of innovative undergraduate and graduate courses
Potential to contribute to curriculum innovation and program development in robotics, AI, or machine learning
Experience collaborating on interdisciplinary research teams or with industry, federal agencies, or national laboratories
