They are seeking an energetic and highly organized Showroom & Sales Assistant to join their NYC team, responsible for maintaining showroom operations and supporting sales and design staff.

Responsibilities
Greet clients and visitors with warmth and professionalism
Field initial client enquiries and explain de Gournay’s products and ordering procedure with confidence and knowledge
Answer and direct incoming phone calls
Manage the enquiries inbox and direct emails to the correct department efficiently
Manage the front door, offer refreshments, and ensure a welcoming environment
Assist sales team with client outreach and preparing for presentations, sample pulls, and follow-ups
Keep the showroom organized, clean, and client-ready at all times
Maintain inventory of samples, brochures, and showroom materials
Coordinate return of samples from clients
Other ad hoc tasks where required by the sales team
Assist with scheduling appointments and calendar management
Handle shipping and receiving of samples and packages
Support with data entry, filing, CRM, and other clerical tasks
Ensure that the CRM database is maintained at all times with accurate client information
Help with the setup and breakdown of occasional showroom events
Assist with hosting presentations and meetings for high-profile clients
Qualification
Required
Experience in a similar support, retail, or showroom role (luxury or design industry preferred)
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Excellent verbal and written communication; email tests will be required
Professional phone and in-person demeanor
Self-starter with the ability to take initiative and multitask
Strong computer literacy, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to adapt to internal systems
Preferred
Interest in design, interiors, or fine arts a plus
Desire to learn about de Gournay's new designs and production processes
