The Staff Accountant - Venues role is responsible for supporting and overseeing accounting functions for venues across the LATAM market, ensuring compliance with US GAAP and managing financial reporting and reconciliations for events.

Responsibilities
Ensure South America financial statements comply with US GAAP, company accounting policies, and internal control requirements (SOA/SOX compliance)
Reconcile Latin America event P&Ls and show settlements, ensuring accuracy and timely resolution of discrepancies
Support local teams and the South America finance group with corporate reporting, including monthly balance sheet and P&L reconciliations to third-party systems
Perform general ledger reconciliations, analyze variances and investigate discrepancies to ensure integrity of financial data
Prepare and post month-end journal entries in accordance with corporate deadlines
Maintain, monitor, and reconcile accounts ranging from basic to moderately complex, ensuring proper documentation and audit readiness
Assist with quarterly reporting, internal audits and special projects assigned by management
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
1-3 years' comparable work experience
Bilingual – professional language - English/Spanish requirement, Portuguese a plus
Strong Excel skills
Quality problem solving and communication skills
Possess excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
Preferred
CPA candidate preferred
Previous experience in venues, hospitality, retail accounting nice to have
Oracle experience a plus
